“…used a specialized camera to capture three black and white images in fairly quick succession, using red, green and blue filters, allowing them to later be recombined and projected with filtered lanterns to show near true color images” amazing quality.

Top 10 Things Today's Kids Will Never Experience →
ellobofilipino: Got this list from TIME.com. I don’t know if it applies to everyone though. But I think some of those listed are things I myself don’t anymore see much of these days. Camera Film - Gone are the days of hearing the film rewind into its casing, transporting it to a photo lab and patiently waiting to find out how amateurish your snapshots look.  Landline Phones - For most young...

BetterSource Safari 5 Extension by Awarepixel →
killer extension. Apple really dropped the ball on their “view source.” Looks like i’m finally (almost!) satisfied with my jump from FF to Safari 5…..if only @dbergey’s type-to-navigate was as perfect as FF’s native functionality (it’s damn close, though). all i need now is numbered tabs, accessible by cmd-1, cmd-2, etc.

“Dr. German sees milk as “an astonishing product of evolution,” one which has been vigorously shaped by natural selection because it is so critical to the survival of both mother and child. “Everything in milk costs the mother — she is literally dissolving her own tissues to make it,” he said. From the infant’s perspective, it is born into a world full of hostile microbes, with an untrained...

Twitter Search Saved My Morning
mikehudack: kellysutton: Hey, guess what? The iPhone 1-2-3-4 came out today. Or is supposed to come out. After waiting in the release-day line in San Francisco two years ago for the 3G, I foolishly assumed that Apple/AT&T would have gotten their sign-up/check-out issues cleared by now. Oh, what naivety! Thankfully, this time around I’m armed with Twitter Search. Given the average...

Hovers (and power users) still have a healthy... →
There’s been buzz in UI circles about the end of hovers since the iPad’s debut. I’ve mentioned in talks that touch tablets pose a design challenge for web apps that rely on hovering with a mouse.
