Twitter Search Saved My Morning
Hey, guess what? The iPhone 1-2-3-4 came out today. Or is supposed to come out.
After waiting in the release-day line in San Francisco two years ago for the 3G, I foolishly assumed that Apple/AT&T would have gotten their sign-up/check-out issues cleared by now. Oh, what naivety!
Thankfully, this time around I’m armed with Twitter Search. Given the average sucker waiting in line outside for their phone right now (20-29 year old white male, freelancer), it’s no surprise that they have themselves some active Twitter accounts. Now, I don’t even need to mimic a Los Angeles clubbing experience to get my phone. I can just sit in the cool A/C in the blip.tv office and get some work done.
Once the ratio of “apple OR iphone soho got OR bought OR ‘in hand’ OR excited” outweighs “apple OR iphone soho line,” I’ll know it’s time to go pick up my phone.
for some reason, searching variations of “best buy iphone holmdel nj” doesn’t quite have the same effect for me. :)
